Placement:

1. Determine whether Xtra Tire will be located in front of or behind fender well.
2. Stand spare tire against the pickup box.
3. Mark pickup box lip at center of standing tire.
4. Oversized tires may need to be reversed to fit

 Tools for Installation:

1. Adjustable wrench,
2. Utility knife
3. Tape measure

 Assembly:

1. Slide eyebolt into head sleeve.
2. Insert threaded tightening rod into head sleeve.

Installation:

1. Insert the head underneath the lip of the truck bed.
2. *For trucks with a bed liner, cut a 3 inch slit in the liner 11/2 inches from the top edge of the truck bed.
3. Place foot against the bottom of the truck bed.
4. Rotate the top nut on the tightening rod until the foot is snug.
5. Lock the bottom nut tightly against the top nut.
6. Position the tire onto the eyebolt.
7. Secure the tire by tightening the nut on the eyebolt.
